A Small Snippet of Who I Am/What I've Become...

What is it that encapsulates a human being? And more to the point…what is it that encapsulates me? If you’ve ever asked yourself this question, then you understand the difficulty in answering. And perhaps more importantly, the difficulty in answering concisely.

To provide context for what you are to encounter on this site, I endeavor to offer a brief description of my life; my beliefs, my philosophy, my hopes and dreams, all that stuff. I hope to provide a clear picture of who/what I’ve been and, more importantly, what I’m currently about, so that you might catch a glimpse of a “real” human being...on the internet. :)

I’ll begin by saying that I find life, and in many respects, death, to be amazing subjects to ponder. The depth and variance of life is an incredible wonder to behold. All its fascinating and divergent aspects; young/old, good/bad, up/down, tragic/uplifting…they all hold amazing meaning and weave a tapestry that is beyond what words can convey.

My life, similarly, is a tapestry woven from a collage of many distinct textures and vibrant colors. It has been a marvelous adventure thus far, with many highs and lows encountered along the way. To provide context, I have at present a loving wife of almost 35 years, two wonderful daughters, a warm and loving home, good friends and acquaintances, numerous enjoyable hobbies, and sport teams I zealously follow, etc., etc., etc. I believe in life everlasting, and the eternal flow of the soul. I believe in the Creator of all things, who is neither male, nor female, and whose essence cannot be captured by one religious dogma or philosophical treatise. I believe in the goodness of life, in all its forms. I could go on and on, of course, but I don’t wish to bore you. Suffice to say, I have found a good amount of satisfaction in this life thus far and am looking forward to what lies beyond!

Pertaining to the subject matter contained on this site, all of it springs from my fascination with death and the afterlife. To be honest, it is almost an obsession…this fascination. To truly ponder one’s existence is a profoundly exhilarating undertaking. Here are just a few of the questions I’ve spent countless hours exhausting mental, spiritual, and physical capital attempting to uncover evidence for a plausible answer:

-Where do we come from?

-And if we come from a certain place, then where is it located?

-Were we created and, if so, how and why were we created?

-And by whom were we created?

-What is this life, our life; what is the purpose of it?

-What is the purpose/meaning of death, and why must we die?

-Do we possess a soul that outlasts our physical bodies?

-And if we possess a soul, then what is its purpose?

-Where does the soul go upon our physical death?

-And, finally, does the soul stay where it journeys upon death, or does it continue in another body, another life?

To say that the search for answers to these, and similar questions, has provided purpose and meaning for my life would be an understatement. And, having arrived at a satisfying, educated conclusion about these matters, I marvel at the grand plan for each life; specifically the plan for my life and the lives of those I’ve encountered in this existence. It is a truly remarkable thing, life…and then death. Remarkable, indeed.

If this subject matter is of interest to you, then I implore you to take a moment and experience what I have discovered and how these discoveries have evolved into the works of art you’ll find on this site. And one final thing to note: I like to have fun, so although my artistry involves deep, profound subject matters, which make some uncomfortable, I approach them with a lighthearted and joyous tone. In short, you’ll have a wonderful time exploring these subjects in the works of art contained within this site.

I truly hope you enjoy what I find most exhilarating!

Randy
